Who we are
ZERO DOWN is a personal project run by Ruben Cipriano, in Lisbon, Portugal. For anything about your data, write to [email protected].
The contact form
If you write to us, we receive your name, email address, message and the IP address you sent it from. We use them to read and answer your message, and the IP address to stop abuse (a limit on how many messages one address can send). The legal basis is your request (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) and our interest in keeping the form free of abuse (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- The message reaches us by email, sent through Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France), and is stored in our own mailbox, on our own server in France.
- You get a confirmation email from
[email protected], with your name in it; it does not repeat your message. - The spam check is mosparo, which runs on our own servers. If it is unavailable, the form falls back to hCaptcha (Intuition Machines, Inc., USA), which then sets its own cookies.
- We keep your messages for one year after the last one, then delete them. We do not use them for anything else and never share them.
Visiting the site
- No analytics, no advertising, no tracking cookies.
- Your light/dark choice is kept in your browser (
localStorage, the keytheme). It never leaves your device. - Our server logs each request (IP address, page, time, browser) to keep the service secure and working, and deletes the logs after 14 days.
- Cloudflare (our network provider) carries the traffic, and may set security cookies such as
__cf_bmto tell visitors apart from bots.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, or object to its use: write to [email protected], and we answer within one month. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Portuguese data-protection authority, the CNPD.
